Phantom Wallet Recovery Guide

Phantom is the most popular Solana wallet with over 3 million users. Here's how to reclaim your SOL using Phantom.

Desktop (Browser Extension)

  1. Visit freesolana.org in your browser
  2. Click "Connect Wallet" in the top right
  3. Select Phantom from the wallet list
  4. Approve the connection in the Phantom popup
  5. Wait for the scan to complete—we'll find all your empty token accounts
  6. Review the accounts and click "Claim"
  7. Approve the transaction in Phantom
  8. Done! Your SOL will appear in your wallet within seconds

Mobile (Phantom App)

  1. Open the Phantom app on your phone
  2. Tap the globe icon (browser) at the bottom
  3. Enter freesolana.org in the address bar
  4. Your wallet will automatically be available to connect
  5. Tap "Connect Wallet" and approve the connection
  6. Review your empty accounts and tap "Claim"
  7. Approve the transaction when prompted
💡 Tip: Make sure you type the URL manually or use your referrer's link directly. Don't rely on autocomplete as it might redirect to the wrong site.

Importing Other Wallets into Phantom

If you have trading bot wallets (Bonkbot, Trojan, etc.) that you want to recover SOL from, you can import them into Phantom:

  1. Export the private key from your trading bot
  2. Open Phantom and go to Settings → Manage Accounts
  3. Tap "Add / Connect Wallet"
  4. Select "Import Private Key"
  5. Paste your private key and confirm
  6. Switch to the imported wallet and visit FreeSolana
⚠️ Security Warning: Never share your private key with anyone. Only import keys into wallets you trust. After recovering your SOL, consider transferring it to your main wallet and removing the imported account.

Troubleshooting

Connection not working?

  • Make sure Phantom is unlocked and on Solana mainnet
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Disable other wallet extensions that might interfere

No empty accounts found?

  • This means your wallet is clean—nothing to recover!
  • If you expected accounts, make sure you're connected with the right wallet

Transaction failed?

  • Ensure you have at least 0.001 SOL for transaction fees
  • Try claiming fewer accounts at once
  • Wait a moment and try again—the network might be congested
